Oakley Assault 2 boots are being praised as lightweight, comfortable leather tactical boots with easy lacing and a slip resistant rubber outsole. The coyote color is just the finish, not coyote leather, and the model is described as a 6 inch boot with full grain leather and an EVA midsole. Fit is the main concern, with repeated reports of an extremely narrow opening and no extra wide option, which may be tight for wide feet. Durability also looks limited, since the soles are said to wear smooth after about a year.
Dog walkers who want a light boot for short outings, because they feel comfortable on day one and stay easy to lace up.
People with narrow or B-width feet who struggle to find boots, because the fit runs narrow and standard D widths can feel sloppy.
Shoppers who want a slip-resistant boot for casual wear, because the sole is not very aggressive and the tread is meant to help prevent slipping.
Shoppers who want aggressive traction on loose or slippery ground, because the sole is not too aggressive.
People with wide or double-wide feet, because the boot runs extremely narrow and can feel like squeezing into high heels.
Buyers who need long-lasting soles for heavy daily wear, because the soles can wear smooth in about a year.
