I liked it as an RPG fan but I think if you don't like RPGs you will really not like this game. It's still mostly a turn based RPG even though you doge/perry on enemy turn. This is clearly an RPG game for fans of that, and that's okay.

I recognize that KCD2 was great for open world game fans, but I hate open world games so I didn't buy it nor expect it to change my mind on the genre.

Stick to what you like!

One of the best games ever made. Especially for me as someone who bought it at release and so all the "goty" chants hadn't really kicked into full swing yet, so I was able to see the game for what it is in my own bubble mostly. It was an absolute blast & really reminded me why I love video games.

man this game was so boring. completely overrated. parry simulator basically.
i love RPGs. Parasite Eve is a way better game and that was made in 1998.

This game is absolute art. If you're the type that skips character dialogue and cut scenes or plays with the sound off, don't bother. Otherwise, enjoy one of the best games turn-based RPGs ever.

I'm not into turn based RPGs, but I have this game a try cause of the hype. The turn base is very immersive with the parrying and timing to get your attacks out, story and graphics are also very good. One of my favorite games of the past 10 years. Easily worth it for $25.
