Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a stylish turn based RPG with action game timing, built around parries, dodges, and a fresh combat twist. The story, music, and visuals draw strong praise, and the game is described as packed with content, with runs stretching past 60 hours. The main caveat is that the battle rhythm and story pacing can feel repetitive, confusing, or slow to click, especially if RPGs are not your thing. At $24.49, it looks like a strong value for players who want a cinematic RPG with skill based combat.

I think this is a great forum for "what do you think of this product / game / etc.?"

On the other hand, "Is this game like Cyberpunk 2077" is more of an objective question that one could easily find the answer to elsewhere.

Also too many people in these comments don't seem to get the Big Lebowski references floating around. And that's a bummer, man.
Shut TF up, Donny!

This game is absolute art. If you're the type that skips character dialogue and cut scenes or plays with the sound off, don't bother. Otherwise, enjoy one of the best games turn-based RPGs ever.

People saying it's amazing are also just sharing an opinion. All the people who think it's the best game in years just keep ganging up on people who don't like it. This game's fanbase is obnoxious.
There's a difference between saying "I don't like it, not for me" and "the game is extremely overrated". Don't conflate the two.
For other newcomers considering this game, I'm currently playing this right now and almost at the end. It's the first turn-based rpg I've tried. Someone else said if you like dodge and parry you'll like this - 100% true. There's also the character leveling and skill tree stuff that is common with lots of open world games. The last game I played was CP2077 and I loved it - expedition 33 is very different but I still thoroughly enjoy it.

I did not expect to enjoy this game, but it was on Game Pass, so I tried it out. I absolutely loved it. The music was a stand out, the Lumierre theme song is on repeat in my head. Very confusing story line, but the writing and acting is excellent.

I should add that I am not young anymore and my twitch gaming skills are basically non existent now. There is a big focus on parry and dodge mechanics, but if you suck at those like I do, you'll still be fine.

I just "finished" this game last week.

Such a good, emotional, and weird ride. My favourite game in a good while.

Anyone saying this isn't the best game of 2025 is retarded. It literally won the Game Awards for Game of The Year… and mind you the other categories it won to boot.

There are many people who thinks that only their own rankings matter.

People have been spreading this nonsense for like 20 years. Do you really think game companies have had this issue for such a long time and just think "dam, someone stole thousands of $ from us, we'll just let it happen". I have used nearly every single website on AKS for almost 20 years and only had 1 issue where someone was trying to sell beta keys as the full game, still got a refund.
Too lazy to google users experience with loaded.com?
Cons & Risks
Grey Market: Because they are not an official retailer, there is a very small risk that keys can be flagged or disabled by publishers.
Support & Refunds: While they do provide support, some users have reported that obtaining refunds for issues can be difficult, as they operate on a "buy at your own risk" basis.
Regional Locks: You must ensure the key you buy matches your account region to avoid activation issues.
Issues with Gift Cards: Some users reported receiving already-redeemed, invalid gift card codes.

4.8 stars and 219k reviews on TrustPilot. I been using CDKeys, as well as about 20 others for years. You sound like a typical redditor regurgitating useless, non-factual info. I for one can back up my comment with order history. Do you have order history on CDKeys/Loaded with proven "Cons" that have nothing to do with your own mistakes and lack of reading?

Someone being too uninformed and buying the wrong region, doesn't count as a "Con". And imagine how many dumb people there are that do that daily and this website Still has such a high rating. Makes you wonder... you must be part of the people that can't read. The website even makes you confirm "Are you sure its the correct region? Are you sure its the correct platform?" Lol. You got some cookiecutter Ai reply instead of bringing actual data or facts. Useless commentors. I have almost 1000 games on Steam, most of them come from buying from CD key websites. I guess I am just lucky right

I grew up on turn based rpgs, some of my favorite games ever are turn based rpgs. Maybe I've changed; I havent played them in a long time. I was hoping to fall in love with this but so far I haven't after 10h, and im kind of upset with myself lol. Music and visuals are beautiful, premise is very intriguing, im just trying to get back into enjoying the gameplay loop of the battle system
Thank you

No. The fighting can get repetitive and frustrating dodging all the time with same actions. It has cinematic scenes, but Final Fantasy VII is what makes people who's usually not into RPG get into those games.
Thank you
