I just buy them from aliexpress, comes out to about 10 cents per pad

Pretty sure it was just announced they're releasing a newer better version, so they're trying to clear out the old.

A bit over 20 years ago when these came out, my mother was convinced that the government was going to ban them because they cleaned too well and so she stocked up on them.

I'm glad to see that the anti-melamine foam
lobby has been held at bay by freedom loving patriots like my mom.
