i barely use my ryobi tools, but i would use this sprayer bi-weekly in the summer.
How well do these hold up? My standard 2 gallon pump sprayers seem to break every year and i cant just replace the pump part which is annoying.
All i spray is spot treating weeds with a surfactant mix.

I would suggest clicking on the link OP provided as Home Depot has over 2,200 reviews on this item, so I bet it'll answer your question! It'll be a lot faster than waiting for a few SD'ers to give you their subjective experiences.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DR...iMTR5cDlkI did something very similar to this with an extra two gallon pump sprayer I had. It works very well so far but I've only used it once. The portable compressor I bought was $10-$15 and the valve was cheap off of amazon. One bad thing about my compressor is it doesn't hold a specific pressure. It just stops once it gets to whatever you set it at and you have to press the start button again when it gets low. I like it a lot but no idea how it will hold up long termJust throwing out a different and cheap option for you to consider

Had 2 gallon and stopped working a little more than 1yr. Only use it a dozen times for cleaner to retreat carpet/rugs

Had the 2 gallon version pump for a few years and it recently stopped working. Probably ran through about 40-50 gallons.

I have the 2 gallon version. The advantage over the 1 gal is that I can fill it to 1 gal if that's all I need or more if necessary.

I have found that it's very sensitive to foreign material clogging the very small screen on the intake hose. I strain my weed killer through a paint strainer in a funnel while pouring it into the tank and I haven't had any problems since. I also drain and flush the tank and the pump when done.

I have one and then bought several of the separate tanks. One for pesticide, one for soap, one for plain water etc .

Since a pump sprayer is around $20 why would you buy this?

The convenience of not having to manually pump it up and an electric sprayer has a more consistent spray pattern due to consistent pressure. It's nice to have a consistent spray pattern if you're doing a blanket application for your grass. Some spray tips need a certain flow rate to work properly

I'd say the 1gal is a "deal" considering Direct Tools has it for $99 regular price, but they often have discounts and free shipping.

But the 2gal version IMHO is a much better "deal" for the extra versatility of the larger tank.

I got mine at HD when DTO had theirs on sale w/FS and I paid $69. I think the DTO one was maybe 5bux cheaper at the time, but for the 90 day warranty and the ability to transact replacement or refund locally without having to pay return shipping just in case, was worth the extra for me.

Home Depot shows it is $109, must not be on special in Louisiana.

"Avoid this one. I have a garage full of Ryobi, but this sprayer is absolute bottom-tier. Underpowered pump and zero durability. Easily the worst tool they make."
