In my experience these don't work well with and aren't capable of the resolutions needed for ultra wide monitors. If you have a normal monitor or are connecting a smaller TV and don't need higher resolutions then it may work for you. I wish I had known this before I got some

These are actually pretty damn useful in an office environment where cheaper/older "legacy" monitors probably still include DVI but newer PCs/laptops have segued to HDMI (along with DP). Cable length is spot-on for decent routing and resolution is perfectly cromulent at 16:9 1080p, just remember there will be NO AUDIO - you'd need headphones/speakers etc.

For $6/10pk, there are FAR less useful items to be stashed away in your cord drawer.

this is the kind of visual clutter that i wish slickdeals wouldn't post to the front page. who would ever need this other than some IT professional working with super old computer equipment who is going to expense the purchase anyways
