What is the use case for this?

I have this or the model previous to this and it is a good stapler. No jams at all and I don't have to think about it. Best compliment I can give to a tool.

Really no use case unless you have terrible arthritis. The DeWalt carbon fiber one is cheaper, WAY lighter, and better in every way than this. It's not at all difficult to squeeze either. This is one tool that is actually worse as a battery tool. It just makes it far heavier and more bulky. It doesn't drive staples any better. Mind you, I am ONLY comparing to the carbon fiber DeWalt one. There are a lot of pretty awful T-50 staplers out there too

I bought this yesterday, at this price, because I had some pro cash that needed to be used by the end of the month and I got the tool for $30. Tested it out and it works better than my old manual arrow T50 stapler, I was actually pretty impressed, but I will agree with the other commenter that this is not a necessary tool to have and only makes sense if you're gonna be doing a lot of stapling and want to save your hand.

Also, my store said they had one in stock (now it says out of stock) but they had two there when I bought it. So, YMMV but the app may not be 100% correct with inventory.

it also dropped from $72 to $60 last Thursday. so if your store has a few in stock, you could try waiting two more days and see if it drops more.

I just stapled a room full of curtains to walls. The electric nature of my stapler was a game changer. My buddy actually had the manual stapler and that was left unused. Having said that, I've used mine twice in five years. So yes, super occasional use case for the regular home owner, but if you are already into Ridgid, probably worth getting.

I used this tool to toenail staple mesh up on several 2x6 walls that I then blew insulation into. My hand would have been so cramped if I had been squeezing a regular stapler for all that. I literally went through 5,000 staples in a couple hours.

Fastening hardware cloth or even just upholstery in place, attaching backings to shelf units, installing insulation or barriers, installing trim or paneling...I mean, there are lots of uses.

The alternative to this tool is a pneumatic crown stapler, not a T50. I've used a lot of T50 staples to line raised beds with hardware cloth or reupholster chairs, but crown staples are the superior fastener for a lot of purposes, especially in house and yard maintenance work, woodworking, etc.
