(curious, because my Growatt 3000W is about 45W continuous, which is a pretty serious drain - which means if you want it running 24/7 you need over 1kWh/day just for keeping the inverter on)

That's fairly uncommon for small inverters like this. Most of them are either 110/120V or 220/240V (non-split-phase).
So if that's the case, you're essentially getting two 110/120V 2500W legs that you probably need to try to keep somewhat balanced.
Still, this is a great deal. I don't need one, but I'm really tempted to get it as a backup.
No point in returning it to spend 5 or 10k on a comparable system. It also said it supported wifi... which is a big stretch. Its got a janky add on dongle. The chinese app basically didn't work or transmit anything useful or speak english... and I didn't have any success hooking it up to a 3rd party software (forget the name, but its one of the popular ones). Couldn't get any useful information out of it at all, but I didn't try real hard was busy using it to power my trailer while out hunting for 7 weeks. I would recommend it for the price. I welded up a rack to hold the batteries and mounted it + circuit breakers to a board; portable enough for camping as long as you keep it away from dummies and kids. Eventually I plan to get an automatic transfer switch and use it to backup some of my home circuits when I'm not out camping, but haven't gotten around to it. No experience with the solar... just generator/AC charging the batteries.
While this could be a newer version... but I'd be really surprised if they completely redesigned their entire product... and software... to incorporate a rather advanced feature with a really small market... and not change the form factor or the paint job. Like someone said they have a 240v product, which is basically 2 of these.
They were pretty responsive on email with post sales support. Was easy to order on ebay.
