Car tires can be a few pounds in either direction without issue. In fact, they're designed that way with thermal expansion (cold tires vs hot tires, cold days vs. hot days). What matters is you have your front two and rear two tires at the same pressure (some cars recommend all four at the same pressure, some differentiate between the front and back due to engine weight).
