These may look cool, but other than that $1.39 per lb on these is not a good deal, avg at best.

Thanks. I'm trying to get my wife started on lifting a bit, and the lightest dumbbells i have now are 10lb. I'll have to get some of these.

If you're looking at their other options, those aren't the ones listed on SD. The deal was posted for the 2x5lbs/8lbs sets which are both ~$1.4/lb. I've been in the market building up my dumbbell collection for a year now. Anything new near $1/lb is a good deal and especially from CAP. CAP is a reputable brand and buying from non-reputable brands for rubber coated dumbbells is asking for trouble. Many people note that when buying offbrand it infiltrates their home with a toxic smell that does not go away. I always buy from CAP whenever they go on sale and have had zero complaints. One line of dumbbells looks hella clean too. Only thing I would recommend is to find another dumbbell rack. Not much of a fan of theirs, unless you get their 150lb set of assorted dumbbells with a rack which is a really good deal if on sale. Saves you the trouble of scalping these deals on random pairs of weights whenever they're on sale. Wish I dished out the money and did it that way to start.
