Ya, if you aren't giving it at least some cover, the sun will beat nylon/plastic up pretty bad. If I'm using them for, say, holding pipe insulation inside an open pole building with windows and/or skylights, UV resistant hold up pretty well. Much better than the cheapo ones that just fail regardless.
