Their is a long DIY solar forum thread about this unit [diysolarforum.com]. It has issues with the solar controller, does not support firmware updates, and some quality control issues. At least buying via Amazon means you can avoid the poor customer service though.

Yes, it could. But electric car batteries typically range from 40 kWh to over 100 kWh. And this system dual battery total only 9216Wh. So if you car battery 40kWh. You need at least 4 of this system to fully charge your car.
