For a couple of kids our age, it was an amazing experience. Anything with action and danger would light up our imaginations. I even remember loving the opening theme song, with the girls and the flamingos. Made you want to live in Florida!
One memory that really stands out is his boat and his pet alligator, Elvis. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I also remember a scene where a sniper was targeting someone on his boat, and from a far off tower or lighthouse you could see the muzzle flash. Great show.
But the real reason I love Miami Vice is simpler than that. It was one of those things my little brother Mark and I got to experience together. Just two kids sitting in a room, watching a great show. RIP Mark!

Miami Vice: The Complete Series on Blu ray stands out for preserving the original music and packing in the full run with no commercials. The set also includes the missing episode Evan, and the show still lands with its iconic camera work, stereo presentation, and a parade of guest stars like Wesley Snipes, Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent D'Onofrio, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Annette Bening. The main drawback is the cover art, which looks sun faded and cheap. At around $30, it has been viewed as a strong value for a sealed copy and a handy way to own the series when streaming is incomplete.
The set includes the episode "Evan," so it should not be missing due to music rights.
The Blu-ray includes the original music by the original artists, which supports the release value.
The discs are useful when episodes are not streaming or are incomplete online, and the set avoids commercials.
The Blu-ray has been priced around $30 multiple times, while it has often been higher before, making $30 reasonable for a sealed copy.
The artwork colors can look sun-faded, which may make the cover less appealing.
The $30 price may feel less compelling if the set was previously purchased on Amazon for $19.35.
The Amazon price-history comparison may be inaccurate because the $19.35 figure appears to match the DVD version rather than the Blu-ray.

I was just stating that the price they had it listed for this time wasn't as good of a deal, But I appreciate your sarcasm....NOT
Regarding price, I know it's been this price 3 times now. The 1st time i missed it, and watched it like a hawk in local stores, HPB, Amazon, Mercari, eBay. It was well over $60 for most of that time and jumped up to $99 for a while. You can always find something for lower if you wait long enough, but in this case $30 is a solid value for sealed and new.
