Great game! Absolute steal at $8. If people can't get over themselves, that's just sad and it's their loss.

The cover looks like a dragon slayer had one job—defeat ancient evil—but got distracted halfway through because someone yelled, "There's a fantasy Pride parade in the Fade!" and now everyone's armor is shimmering like enchanted grape soda.
Not just purple—PURPLE purple. The kind of purple that walks into the room, flips its hair, and says, "Sweetie, I am the color palette."
It's giving, "I'm off to fight darkspawn, but first let me moisturize and strike a pose." Every inch of that design is screaming royal violet diva energy, like the whole kingdom just installed mood lighting for a drag show.
Honestly, the game box looks like a wizard, a dragon, and a drag queen all fought over the same purple highlighter—and the drag queen won.

Between the people who hate diversity and the review outlets giving it inflated scores to show their support for said diversity, it's hard to find reviews that reflect the other 80% of us. As someone who thinks diversity is fine but never thought that DA lore was very interesting, the game is ok. It's polished and mechanically satisfying, but the art style made characters from prior games like Scout Hardin look strange. A lot of the dialog is clumsy and weirdly modern, which clashes with the grand sword and sorcery setting. Since the price is so low, you basically just have to ask yourself if it's worth your time to play it.
