Yep, this one was $699 and the Max Plus was $799 in January and I just missed the deal. Now I can't bring myself to pay more for a want and not a need.

Wouldn't the OUPES 2400, with 2400W output and 2232Wh capacity for $449, be a better deal?

I saw it too, but it's "used" with 1-year warranty. I guess you can use a credit card that extends warranty as long as they don't exclude refurbished ones.
Another issue with Oupes is that none of their devices support firmware updates. Their customer support confirmed it and said they're planning to introduce the feature "soon".

Anyone use this with their sump pump? Debating if I go the standard route and add a 12V backup pump or use one of these for the lazy piece of mind. Need to have some type of backup and know the standard way gives me the second pump but hoping this could work also.

I've been using the RIVER 2 PRO 768Wh with no problem. I checked the electrical draw before purchasing to make sure it's well below the limit. Have the battery plugged in to the wall then the pump in to the battery, no problems going on a year of use now.
