This Milwaukee 600 pound convertible hand truck is built for moving heavy, awkward items and can switch from a two wheel hand truck to a four wheel cart. The powder coated metal frame ships fully assembled, and the solid rubber tires avoid flat tire hassles. It has handled appliances and even refrigerators, with the cart mode and toe plate making solo moves easier. The main knocks are its weight, a smaller lift panel than some expect, and the cart mode can be awkward on rough ground. It is a practical mover if you do not need pneumatic tires or a larger deck.

Common Questions (5)

  • This model has solid rubber tires, so it does not use air-filled pneumatic tires and should not need inflation. That makes it better for avoiding flats, though it won't have the same cushioning as pneumatic wheels on rough ground.

  • No. The Costco version mentioned is a different Milwaukee 3-in-1 model with 800 lb capacity, and another Milwaukee hand truck has larger run-flat tires, an 18-inch toe plate, and stair assist. This Walmart deal is the 600 lb 2-in-1 convertible version.

  • Yes. It can handle heavy appliances and other awkward items when strapped down, and it is useful for moving things by yourself. The cart mode is less ideal on uneven ground, but the hand truck setup is still practical for solo moves.

  • No. The frame ships fully assembled, so it is ready to use out of the box.

  • No. This is a Milwaukee-branded hand truck, not the Milwaukee power tool brand.

I bought this a long time ago from Sears. Now both tires went flat. Anyone knows how to inflate them?

I have the Harbor Freight version for $79 (when on sale) and has pneumatic tires.

I prefer pneumatic when rolling over dirt, grass and gravel, and that's where I've seen myself using dollys more often.
The hard tires are easier on concrete and asphalt.

I got this in store at Walmart about 5 years ago for $39. It's been amazing, never had an issue with it. Even left it outside in the rain a few times. Moved a lot of stuff with this thing including heavy appliances just by putting a ratchet strap around it.

No, that one was a 3-in-1 with an 800lb capacity:

Was on sale for $100 but it's $125 now.

I have a different brand with pneumatic tires. These things are life savers if you move things by yourself. Cart mode is terrible over right terrain but it's easier than trying to carry something that's heavy or awkwardly sized. I think mine was $50 but that was like 8 years ago. If I need another, I'd probably buy this and change the tires.

Have you considered a tire inflator? Perhaps a bicycle pump, or even a battery powered pump if you're feeling fancy?

I have this when it was on sale for under $50. Just too heavy and the bottom lift panel is too small to rise single .75 cu Miracle-Gro Garden Soil All Purpose.
