Spend a $10-$20 more and buy a well-known brand like Anbernic or Miyoo. I bought one of these no-name brand ones and it didnt last a year

It's probably OK at this price, but absolutely not a highly regarded device.

I was just about to chime in with the same recommendation. If you really like the vertical format, the Batlexp G350 is a much improved version of these R36S clones.

The real R36S is considered middle of the pack for these RK3326 handhelds. The K36 compares acceptably for the price, but the buttons and sticks are generally worse. Batlexp is an Anbernic sub-brand, and the G350 has good Anbernic controls and plastics. If I really needed an under-$50 handheld, it would be the G350.

I personally prefer handhelds that can emulate PS2 and GameCube, (only really possible starting with $125-$150+ handhelds) but if you only want to play things like 8-bit, 16-bit, maxing out with Playstation, the RK3326 handhelds are fine.
