Note for people thinking about using this with a local LLMs - this is the M5 10-Core version, so the max memory bandwidth is 153.6 GB/s. The M5 Pro 15-Core is 307 GB/s. The Macbooks Pros do not automatically come with the M# Pro series SOC by default anymore (since the M3 generation).

Good deal, especially if you need the extra RAM. Given the ram shortage I wouldn't be surprised if Apple starts upping their prices on new ones.

Yes, that's how I got mine. See second screenshot. I called Best Buy and did everything over the phone. They price match. They send you a link, you pay using link and pickup or have em ship it. Also their credit deal gives 10% back on first purchase. Which I did too.
