I have the Acer version of this, I only experience minimal smearing on black/white contrasting objects (like scrolling white text on a black background) but I don't notice it when gaming.

Honestly, I don't think this is worth it in most cases. Like, if you have nothing and are getting "a" monitor, yeah, pretty good deal! but since you have one already Idk. Maybe is you're just wanting a second monitor I'd tell you to get this and switch your current main one to a secondary monitor. Also (assuming it's for games) can your current set up push them pixels at a decent enough frame rate? cuz remember that more pixels= more work for your PC

No tuner, so no OTA playback out of the box. The TV tuner is what distinguishes between a TV and a monitor.
Also, keep in mind OTA broadcasts at 16:9, while this monitor is 21:9. Perfect for movies, but you'll have black bars with OTA programming, unless you stretch the image.

It's really not that big of an upgrade depending on the scenario, like I mentioned above it depends on a lot of factors as to whether or not this is worth for the OP who was the one that asked the question, Newegg has a similar deal, just another option for anyone looking for a similar monitor, it's $160 at the time of posting this, "free" copy of RE9, brand new vs rfb, and it's IPS: https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-g...Influencer

You can't compare a 27" 2560x1440 monitor with a 34" 3440x1440 monitor. The ladder is much larger and has a much higher resolution.

that's a 27" vs this which is 34" -- that's not a similar deal

So on the fence for this. I need something for my sim racing setup but I was hoping for IPS.
