That was 12 years ago... and they discontinued it because franchise owners were hemorrhaging money on the promotion due to rising costs. For the record, most footlong subs prior to the promotion starting in '08 were $6 or more. The recession was literally the main reason why they ran it.

Right?? The cost of these subpar sandwiches is obscene now. I ate there recently (after a VERY long time,) and they were the worst subs I've ever had.

Same, haven't been in a Subway in years...but decided to give this "deal" a try.

Not impressed.

I mean the ordering process was easy enough but the sandwich itself was certainly nothing special. I remember BMT's were full, with full size tomatoes slices and such, this thing used about 4 pieces of "cherry tomatoes" and very little of everything else....mostly bread (and yuk, mayo, since when?)

The local market makes their own subs everyday for about the same price, their rolls aren't as good (too big, a bit dry) but they are usually pretty packed with meat and veggies...probably twice as much as this subway.

Oh well, I gave them a bit of business....they gave me a bit'o sandwich. shake head

Subway can easily vary based even on who is making the sub. They are supposed to use certain amounts, but some people go heavy on it. My store also uses full tomato slices, I don't think I've ever seen cherry tomatoes on em.

In the app, you can specify extra of toppings. But, depending on who is making them, they might just ignore it. For a while I was getting so many veggies that I would take most of them off and have a extra side salad. But yeah, it varies and a lot of the people will only put a little on, probably the amount they're actually supposed to use.

My current Subway has some ody who I think gets confused by the BMT having 3 meats bc anytime I order it and he makes it, it's half meat. But same guy making like a roast beef sub and there's not as much meat. Those guys are wild, they ask me why I'm buying Subway and not making food at home when I go in there lol.

I'm done with subway raising prices. I bake bread at home pretty well, and making subway like buns instead of thin sandwich cuts (the cutting is the hardest part), is easier.' It is only habit I eat sandwiches with store bought sliced bread instead of on sub like buns.

Tortilla soft shells work pretty good for sandwich like needs, and are also easy to make.

Location dependent, which is normal for Subway. Worked in a NYC location, but not in the 'burbs. Now to decide is a $7 Subway sandwich is worth it anymore...

Works on a $14.99 Italian 5 meat sandwich. Make sure you select all the topping and veg in the app, not tell them when they are making it.

Apparently they make it a huge deal out of when u give instructions before they make vs follow what's on the app order.

They told me I need to wait my ass down and just pick up what ever they put on the TOGO shelf, not step over to the sandwich making line and tell them what to do.

subway around me is giving this code in perpetuity for the whole month or something. the only good sub at subway is the steak and cheese and it also happens to be the most expensive too. so biggest bang for your buck.
