That was 12 years ago... and they discontinued it because franchise owners were hemorrhaging money on the promotion due to rising costs. For the record, most footlong subs prior to the promotion starting in '08 were $6 or more. The recession was literally the main reason why they ran it.
18 years ago! Amazing by todays prices, they can offer a $7.00 deal!
subway franchise owners are aholes and consistency shafts the franchisees. you know their sub club giving away a free sub every 3 was absolutely killing franchisees. it was an insane deal for customers. basically a 30% discount if you eat regularly. then there's the bogo deals that also triggered the subclub making it 50% off. franchisees were furious and that's why they ended it in like 3 months. now they got this 7 dollar footlong that applies to any sub regular sub and lasts like this whole month or something. if you get the footlong steak and cheese, you're getting like half a lb of shaved steak for 7 bucks. i bet subway isnt even making money on that. i think franchise owners make money by selling ingredients and so the most subs they move the more they make.
their subs are terrible quality. the roast beef is like pate. i dont know wtf they do to it. their lunch meats taste like nothing. the only thing that i think is unadulterated meat is their steak and cheese, which is really expensive. 13 for a footlong but with this deal you can get it for 7.
If youre trying to build credits for a free sandwich before 4/1 on the app, be sure they give you credit on your purchase.
yea is there a way to get the credit? i bought it and didnt get a ticket graphic added, just 70 points. chatgpt told me they already moved over to the new rewards scheme but didnt change the graphics.
Works on a $14.99 Italian 5 meat sandwich. Make sure you select all the topping and veg in the app, not tell them when they are making it.
Apparently they make it a huge deal out of when u give instructions before they make vs follow what's on the app order.
They told me I need to wait my ass down and just pick up what ever they put on the TOGO shelf, not step over to the sandwich making line and tell them what to do.
I'm waiting for the $10 Footlong commercials with people holding up both hands instead of just one hand since that will be a "deal" at Subway. Cue the music: $10 Fooootlongs. $10 Foooootlongs.

Have you been to a subway? Did u just stay silent when they ask what kind bread, toast or no toast, what kind of cheese, what kind of topping, what kind of sauce?
Give instructions when they make the sub is part of the ordering at Subway FYI, and don't take my word for it
You're not getting a 1' long at Jerseys for less than $20
Lies. Their giant subs are between 14 to 15 inches (which is 2 to 3 inches bigger than a foot) and most cost around $17. Yes it's more expensive but it's bigger, tastes 1000 times better, and you can almost always find a $2 off coupon to bring it down to $14. Let's stop comparing trashy Subway to Jersey's. There's no comparison.

There is a difference between ordering in app and ordering in line as they make it. Don't need to do both. They would probably make changes if you get there before they make your app order, but shouldn't change it after it's made. If you tend to always change it, don't use the app.
