The DEWALT GRABO is a handheld vacuum lifter built for moving heavy panels, pavers, plywood, drywall, and even insulated glass units. It stands out as easier and more capable than pump up lifters, with practical uses like loading plywood into a truck or lifting glass to apply security film. The main hesitation is drywall grip, which is described as uncertain, and accessory compatibility can be tricky with third party add ons. It looks most useful for tile, drywall, and similar trade work, especially when paired with the right adapter.
The lifter can make it easier to load plywood into a truck and remove it afterward.
The lifter can help remove an IGU from a window frame for applying security film on the inside face.
The lifter is described as much better than pump up models for lifting comfort and performance.
The deal can be workable when the order includes the GRABO plus battery before retailer cancellations occur.
The lifter's drywall adhesion can be uncertain, which can make the purchase harder to justify even at a deal price.
Third-party accessory compatibility can be unclear because GRABO states many accessories are not compatible with the DeWalt GRABO model.
Retailer order handling can cancel the GRABO while still shipping the battery, forcing a battery return.
The advertised deal price can change to $259, which can remove the value for buyers who already have batteries.
