These type of bags tend to slip an rotate around the body. Almost instantly if you end up sprinting. I got lucky with the one I purchased that it had a clip on both sides to adjust the strap to which side you wear it on. Also had an accessory clip towards the other end of the strap. Bought a 2nd strap to connect to those clips an I only use it as a midsized backpack now. I wouldn't use it at all if not for that because I have to adjust it constantly.

If you want to keep this style on the front of you while wearing a big back bag; it stays in place once it's self rotated there. However it's large for the front. I find for a chest bag a good fanny pack is about as big as I can go without it feeling obtrusive. Even the fanny packs fall to the side and somewhat get in the way of the arm swing/resting elbow position but it's not as bad as this. If you are geared up with several bags the other straps will keep things more secure.

I bought one of these from REI 2 years ago. Been using it almost daily. I wear it facing forward with some pretty heavy EDC gear in it. No issues and it's still in great condition. Only downside is no water bottle holder.

I've seen posts on a hydroflask version with a bottle pocket, not sure if that's any good
