I call bs on the mold free claim. I applied this behind my washbasin on the edge between mirror and vanity. Already have significant black spots within two years.

Same experience behind the kitchen sink.

Open to criticism if I did something wrong...

the 10oz tube is just 7.84, and you can go in the store and pricematch walmart.com

This is one of my favorite fixit items that I keep around the house. That said, I am not sure how this is a frontpage deal $$$ per ounce-wise. This size is $1.79 per ounce. You would be much better off investing in a cheap $5 caulk gun and buying the larger 10 ounce tubes as they are $7.84 or so at the big box stores at 78 cents per ounce. That's a net $2 increase for almost 8 ounces of additional caulk plus you have a reusable caulk gun.

The only thing I can think of is that mold was already there and/or embedded in your grout. We have this problem in our shower and because the mold has gotten behind the caulk it is almost impossible to kill even with bleach. I'd be surprised if they didn't send you a new tube for your trouble regardless.

There was no other grout as this was the junction between mirror/wash basic and kitchen sink/back. I removed everything, sprayed with bleach, let it dry and then applied. Anything different I should have done?
