I purchased this last year when it was around the same price, but the last deal came with an 8.0 battery I believe. I ended up having to return the whole thing because the stand was "lost" in shipping and Home Depot wouldn't just send me a replacement even after it was confirmed through them and the shipper of lost item. Would love to try again but not sure it's worth it without the extra power battery included.
This 12in is far superior to the 10in model because the sliding mechanism is above the saw base. You really need those slide bars as close to the motor and your hand position as possible to minimize deflection. That's why Festool and Makita are the best among 12in sliders.
These stands are nothing special and not worth the extra expense. You can easily buy an equivalent for a fraction of the price.
Agree with other poster, this deal needed to include a battery. You really need a large capacity Forge or High-Output to get full power from this high power-demand saw

I agree 100 %.... although the miter saw doesn't use up the battery like the table saw... and the Forge batteries are Far superior to the Hi output I don't know anything about the stand.. I usually cut right off my tailgate
