Drop.com is closing as a standalone e-commerce storefront. Following its acquisition in 2023, Corsair is fully absorbing the brand and winding down the website's operations.
Here are the key dates and details you should know:
Deadlines for Users

March 25, 2026: This is the final day to place any new orders on Drop.com.

March 25, 2026: All unused Drop Rewards must be redeemed by this date, or they will be lost.

March 31, 2026: The storefront will officially cease operations. After this, the site will transition into a "showcase hub" for past collaborations and a view-only archive for order history.

Looks to be a version of Meze 99 Classics. I would love to give these a listen, but, for better or worse, I am not in the market.

No, I don't need another pair of headphones.

For those looking for finest details and a more realistic and 'neutral' sound quality while enjoying music at home this is not the ideal headphone.
For those looking for a warm and bassy (not basshead) type of sound with subdued and pleasant/soft treble this may be a viable option.

I don't understand why companies buy these businesses just to close them later.

I am fairly sure the classic Meze 99's sold for around $250 when they were first released and I thought they were an excellent buy back then.

So they don't have competition and take the whole market for themselves

but does corsair really compete with hifi headphones? I mean I can understand why sony acquired audeze because audeze made successful planar headphones

with acquisitions, theoretical 'on paper' numbers go up.
numbers must always go up or you're fired.
