Imo it depends on your workouts and/or common body related soreness (i.e., thighs from cycling, knees from steep hiking or running, etc.). If you can shell out this much, I'd say go for it since this covers the whole legs, with knees included, since you may eventually came across it from frequent exercising anyway.

And, if it helps, I previously got a slightly cheaper version of thus brand that doesn't include the knees for roughly half of this price & a more compact remote/controller.
