I had a couple of upgrades I'd decided I could no longer sit on and had to pull together my own, much lesser, version of this deal via:
$35 CPU/fan new via eBay
I had to select for a 3000G (much less powerful, but still sufficient for the systems in question and with integrated graphics!)
$50 for 16GB of DDR4 RAM via local craigslist/FB marketplace
I was lucky enough to find a local kid parting out their system selling four (4) 8GB DIMMs for under $100
$70 motherboard via Amazon
This was a "lesser" B550 without Wi-FI, but I didn't need Wi-Fi so this didn't feel like a loss because what I really wanted was a minimum-cost B550 motherboard. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTTZFQTP
So going through alternate channels I actually got a decent bundle price at $!55... but it took a lot of effort and I definitely got a minimum Win11 desktop horsepower configuration.
In contrast, this Micro Center deal gives you brand new gear with a warranty on all items from a reputable vendor. The configuration facilitates upgrading legacy systems to Windows 11 supported hardware. About the biggest downside here is the requirement for you to bring a GPU along (in addition to a case and power supply).
