Sad part is, it's not happening that frequently at all. I don't think there have been a dozen 50pt nights this year. This is just the enshittification of everything around us. I mean they don't have to offer anything, so 5 off 15 is still pretty decent for those that already are ordering from DD, but this is the model all these companies have employed. THrow a lot of money around to build the eco system and suck people in, then slowly all the benefits start to get nerfed.
Expect things to get even shittier. I already see half the restaurants I used to order from now being listed as 'long distance' with an additional .99-4.99 fees...
But hey, it's cool, people need their Gordon's slop delivered and they're willing to pay a scumbag company who were caught signing up restaurants without their permission, literally stole workers tips and rely on exploiting the poor and desperate while siphoning 30% of income from the restaurant industry as whole.
Oh, you didn't know the restaurants were passing those costs onto you, even if you don't use delivery services?
It wasn't $10 off to begin with -- it was 50% off, up to $10 off.
