Controller that came with Series X started acting funny. Left stick drifts and i don't even play that much.

Just had two controllers get stick drift within a few weeks of each other. I've never had stick drift of any controller ever before now. Modern technology sucks

I have 4 Xbox Controllers with different colors, all have stick drift. I believe stick drift is a feature of these.

For ~$40 to $50, Gamesir makes some very good controllers with Hall effect sensors for both analog stick and triggers.

If only there was a way to get them to work with an XBox. (Or maybe there is a way and I didn't know - someone tell me it's possible)

There used to be an easy way, but Microsoft cracked down on it about 2 years ago. Now the workaround is more complicated.
Before, you could buy a "Bluetooth USB adapter" for around $20. You'd connect your third-party controller to the adapter, plug it into the Xbox, and the console would treat it like a normal Xbox controller.
Now those adapters still exist, but they require a workaround: you need to also plug an Xbox-branded controller into the adapter to bypass the xbox accessory check. They can't work standalone anymore.
Some higher-end adapters avoid this by including a real Xbox authentication chip (usually taken from official controllers or direct from factories). These cost around $50–60, which is roughly the same as buying the $20 adapter plus an Xbox controller, but they're pre-packaged, pre-built, less bulky, and works standalone.
Either way, you're paying extra. The total ends up around $110: $50 for the GameSir controller + $20 adapter + $40 Xbox controller. At that point it's not cheap anymore, unless you really want to use your GameSir on Xbox.

I hate to be a pessimist, but M$ had to know this was going to happen. So rather than make better controllers "planned obsolescence" now has us buying more controllers than games.

100 percent. Planned obsolescence is a real thing. In fact after watch veritasium YouTube video this has been going on since the invention of the lightbulb. Collusion planned obsolescence started more than a century ago.
