No wonder it's on clearance. Terrible redesign. The previous version that could charge both battery types at the same time was much better. Got that one on clearance for around $35 about 6 months ago.

Maybe so you could get rid of (sell) alot of the extras chargers you have and go with a combo charger that takes up less space?

Just bought and 18v charger on woot on the cheap... and don't have a 40v battery/tools yet... looks like a great deal for those with both already!
