Wow. My uncle had a GT and years later I had a GT. My German teacher called it a "mini-Corvette". It was so fun to drive. My speedometer cable broke, and I had to do some caveman surgery to the driving wheel bolts, as they were "snap off when torque reached." Yes, I was younger and more flexible at the time. Of course, the headlights were a concern, but that did not turn into a problem for me. They always moved as expected with the lever.
