This dryer vent cleaner kit is mainly valued for its slim, flexible hose that reaches deep into the lint trap area and tight bends where standard vacuum attachments cannot fit. It can pull out a surprising amount of lint, improve airflow, and even help with other hard to reach spots like fridge coils or under furniture. The included brush and vacuum combo is often described as more useful than suction alone. Fit can be finicky on some vacuums, and the narrow hose may clog, whistle loudly, or feel too flimsy for heavy buildup.

Common Questions (5)

  • It can pull out a lot of lint and improve airflow, with some users reporting faster drying afterward. It also has reported drawbacks: the hose can clog with large lint chunks, whistle loudly, or fail to seal well enough to pick up lint in some setups.

  • Yes. The attachment is smaller and more flexible than typical shop vac hoses, so it can reach further down into the lint trap area and around bends. It is especially useful when standard crevice tools or larger hoses cannot get into the vent cavity.

  • It mainly cleans the lint trap area and nearby dryer cavity, and it can remove a surprising amount of lint there. For the full exhaust path, the outside vent, and long vent runs, a drill-brush kit or other vent-cleaning method may still be needed.

  • It can, if your vacuum has enough suction and the lint has already been loosened. The brush is still useful for scraping lint off the dryer interior first, because suction alone may not remove lint that is stuck to the inside surfaces.

  • No. It works with some vacuums like Shop-Vac, Shark, Bosch cordless, and LG setups, but it may not fit or stay on every vacuum without being held in place. Some users also report it does not fit their Shark vacuum at all.

Bought this last time and couldn't believe how much it got out from my dryer vent. Also used it on the sides of my fridge that I couldn't reach. Easy buy at $7 bucks

DIY. I used a small tube with tapes and it saved me a few bucks.

Check your vent first. Might not need this and just need to clean the outside vent door
I bought kit from TSC for $23. Eighteen feet/six sections with brush on end. Use drill and rotate only the direction of locking three foot rods. Wife happy that one cycle dries clothes and not two or three! Add one section at a time as you snake the line as needed. Remove flaps from outside vent cover beforehand! Twenty-eight years later and two dryers later. No lint on screen filter fully blocked and no drying. One full plastic bag later. Problem solved! Who knew? Once a year says the internet. Now in house full time.

I do not know specifically about this one, but a prior SD offering has worked out great. The problem is the front lint screens have an opening that is too small for a vacuum hose or the more narrow one ones specifically for dryers the narrow part of the hose is too short. I normally use a brush to keep it somewhat clean, periodically clean with brush followed by this device. I also use the kit mentioned by someone else that attaches to the drill and has different brush attachments to clean the pipe from the dryer to the outside of the house. You should do that periodically to make sure there is no lint for a fire. If you have flexible piping, then the lint gets in the little ribs and is more prone to fires. Good to keep everything clean and if this one fits in and all of the way to the bottom of the lint trap, it is great.

Nothing to see here, this is a regular price product posted as a "deal" and botted for visibility. As is usual with SlickDeals. This was around $7 for almost all of last year. It started creeping up at Black Friday/Nov/Dec, hitting a peak at around $13 in January, only to nosedive again back to regular price.

Just use a jumbo straw or sherbert candy straw, it's about 3/4" or so and about 15 inch long
Stuff / hold inside the thin attachment on the vac cleaner, easy and cheap

If it does get clogged severely the thermal fuse will trip as it won't dispense the heat. I have used a claw type device to pull out chunks of lint. It is decent though not thorough.

good price but you should really buy one with the long brush stick. The suction from a vac won't be strong enough to get the lint that is attached to the inside of the dryer. You need to use the brush first to scrap the lint off then use a vac to suck the lint out.
Thanks. I found similar one with brush: https://a.co/d/0inM3O6r

Bought this (or a similar one) & it resolved a low air flow message I'd been getting. A few months after telling my wife that fires started by dryers with lint build-up are a real thing, I was surprised to see a fire truck at the neighbors house with a large item out front - yep, dryer fire.

I still need to use the drill attachment brush kit I bought a couple years ago (& still havn't used) to clean out the full exhaust pipe, but this removed a surprisingly large amount of lint from the dryer and resolved the constant low flow error.

pro tip: use a cardboard tube from the inside of a paper towel roll. If it needs to be longer, use one from the center of Christmas wrapping paper. FREE
Going to try the cardboard thing on my pellet stove vacuum for those hard to reach areas. Thanks for the tip!

I don't have a way to get paper towels or wrapping papers for free.

Temu is cheaper. It works but it's cheap made.
I've been extremely disappointed with a few purchases from Temu. Really poor quality products.
