Most people use this to play music from their phone. Latency doesn't matter.

Purchased a black one from Walmart over a year ago for $100. Best BT speaker for the money. The lilac is not a bad color - had it but returned it because it is just not me

Seeing as my son has absconded with my Aiwa Exos-9 speakers, I need something to replace it. Hopefully, this'll do. (Maybe the color will discourage him from taking this one, too! 😁)

Reconsidered ... and bought a 2nd one.

(I never used my AIWA with video of any kind, so I guess I can live with the bluetooth latency issues.)

I'm just giving a heads up if you know you're only going to listen to music with this then obviously you're fine, but let it be noted that this is a nice speaker and if you end up wanting to watch videos or a movie on your phone or tablet or computer, you're gonna have the lip sync issue.
Average consumers run into lip sync issues all the time because they aren't educated on what they're purchasing before they buy it, mainly it's sound bars with gaming and Bluetooth speakers with video watching.
For $20 more you can get the second Gen. on eBay and not have to sit with that issue bothering you for the next two years

Let's see:
~$13 eBay fees
~$10 shipping (likely an underestimate)
Idk where you live but rough estimate of sales tax when buying this: $5
You get $77 from your eBay sale and your item cost is $62. Is all that hassle and risk (of selling it to a loser customer) worth earning $15 for you?
You're also assuming you can sell Lilac for $100. Is the $100 going rate for more popular colors like black, sandstone, etc.? How is Lilac doing?
Learn to math my friend.

I shouldn't even reply to you but you're being a smartass. This was a hypothetical anyway. A lilac version sold for $104.50 recently. The last eBay item I sold was $48 and eBay took $7 in fees, I got $41 in my PayPal. You could get a $5 shipping label for this on pirateShip or another service. If I got the speaker delivered to my door for ~$62 with taxes and sold it for $105 on eBay w/ a cheap label, you're looking at around $86+ paid from eBay. That's essentially $20 for printing out a label. Might not be the most lucrative but don't tell me to "learn to math" when you can't bother to look up the recent sales and have no idea how to fleece eBay shipping to your benefit.
