mine are made with gore-tex... and Addidas now make cheap versions that do not use gortex and of course these are a pair of them.
new adidas Terrex models are still made with GORE-TEX (GTX), though adidas now offers several different types of waterproofing depending on the specific shoe.
While GORE-TEX remains their premium waterproofing for high-performance hiking and trail running, you will also see RAIN.RDY and Climaproof used on their more entry-level or lifestyle-focused outdoor gear.
I don't think you can talk about your shoes and relate them to this since Adidas started to make these entry-level or lifestyle-focused outdoor gear that use cheaper material such as RAIN.RDY vs gore-tex
Just want to add that you have a "gortex" version... this is a RAIN.RDY version. Gortex is MUCH better.

Both versions, however, used the "Boost" midsole that makes them so comfortable (and which is not used in the lower-tier sorta-lookalikes such as the Anylander).
I have both the low and mid versions of the GTX, love them, have also used them for traveling. One other thing I really like about the GTX is, the Gore-Tex makes them very easy to clean and keep looking new.
FWIW, you can get this same shoe from the OP in a different color, also from adidas through their ebay store, for $52.80 with the current coupon active there:
