This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (Being battery powered). I liked it. Price seems okay when including the batteries.

How long does it last on a 4Ah?

Um...I don't need the batteries and charger. Can I return the batteries+charger later and keep the heat gun? If yes, how much will that be then?

No.

You can only do that if the items are listed separately on the receipt (i.e. one item is a 'free gift'). Here the batteries and heatgun are sold as a kit, which means everything must be returned in order to get a refund.

Also, some people have supposedly had their accounts banned from online purchases after doing 'hacked' returns. I don't know whether that's true, but just be aware.

Getting banned after doing a hack has happened.

Proof: Happened to our household.

Thanks! Appreciate the advice. I just have too many batteries and charger after a few rounds of sales that I now don't need any more 🙂

First hack of 2025, we (brother) typically did about 1-2 a year before that. I'm personally not a fan of it. Dad hasn't done it.

Our entire address is banned. So....yeah. I did nothing wrong, and I can't order online anymore. Gotta love it!

Not long. About the same as my leaf blower. 10-15 minutes of use. Fortunately Ridgid has given us so many batteries w/ their deals, you shouldn't have any issue, haha.

Thanks.... though I haven't timed it fully, but the belt sander seems like maybe 10 mins? The portable shop vac on 18v is even less.... burns my 4Ah in like 6 minutes

If you left it on until it stops I would say 20 minutes or so.

That's continuous use. Probably not bad for what I'm usually using these for is heat shrink. Does it warm up quickly? If it does, probably 1 minute or less per connection.

I have been using a hairdryer as a heat gun. Is this like way better?
