There is a current rebate on this item, however REBATE is NOT valid on Walmart.com. It is valid in store at Walmart and requires a B&M cash register receipt.
Typically price is $5--7 more in store, if your local store will PM to the Walmart.com price, you can get the rebate. It isn't clear if getting a PM in store is a sure thing as haven't located a firm policy on their website. if there isn't one, it is up to store discretion. So YMMV of course. Be sure to read and understand the rebate specifics before you head to Walmart B&M so you know what purchases and documentation is required to submit for the rebate.

Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic looks like a solid midrange synthetic oil, with the deal landing especially well when Walmart matches the online price in store and the rebate goes through. The comments point to good value at $23.37 per 5 quart jug, and some even note the high mileage version and Ultra Platinum rebate options. The main catch is the rebate process, which has been inconsistent and sometimes requires a physical Walmart receipt or extra follow up. It is a practical pick if you can get the store price and handle the rebate paperwork.

Pennzoil also has a lower tier synthetic without in platinum in the name which I think is more comparable to Kirkland.
Lastly to OP not to be pedantic but "plus" is not in the name of this product.

Have no idea why I typed that, but I've 'minused' the plus from the title. thx for pointing that out.
For items purchased in a Walmart U.S. store, we will match the price of the identical item advertised on Walmart.com. Restrictions apply [walmart.com].
The Walmart store manager on duty has the final decision on any price match.

In Europe, not only Pennzoil sells that kind of oils; Shell, Lukoil, Liqui Moly, G-Energy, other modern, are selling their Tier IV, 100%NG oils.
American standards mask the superiority of modern NG oils, allowing underperformers with hydrocracking products to remain on the hi-end market sector. However, NG oils are way more resistant to oxidation, can be changed significantly less often (Pennzoil label claims a 15,000 miles interval).
Cheaper? of course it is, not the same level quality of this.

So basically it's up to the store when all is said and done. that's the most contradictory price match policy I've ever read. LOL.
