They're studio monitors, they're not supposed to have blasting bass. They're designed to be neutral across the board for use in mixing and editing.

Got these recently and they sound great. Only complaint is that they are too flat, but the app has an EQ you can change.

Got this couple months ago for same price. They're nice speakers for my PC but I feel they lack bass. So I ended up buying a sub (Edifier T5) and the bass is bumpin but now I lost the MR3's volume control.
Either way good set of speakers for the price.

You probably should have researched what studio monitor speakers are for before you bought them. They're not meant for all-purpose audio. They're supposed to be flat. They're for recording. An audio engineer needs to hear sound exactly as it is, without extra bass or anything.

they sound excellent and have an app with an equalizer that you can use to change how they sound. You won't find a speaker this cheap that sound this good anywhere else. they're not meant to rock the house or for parties though. They're meant to sit on a desk near you.

Most people that buys these are PC gamers or people that work on their laptop and want to some good sound to pass the time. You won't regret buying these. if you think they lack bass you can pick up the subwoofer that goes with these for about $150 on sale. they come in a small compact version caled the T5s or a larger box version called the T5

No serious musician is using these as studio monitors. Very good desktop speakers.

Would these be ok to add to a record player for non-audiophile listening of records?

Just cause it says studio speakers doesn't mean that's what you need to use it for. It's all preference, never said I wanted blasting bass.

Any amateur DIY musician would absolutely use these as studio monitors, before deciding if it's worth it for them to get more expensive ones. Anyone with common sense would know that these aren't meant for professional audio engineering. Do you also say, "No serious musician would buy a $200 Squire Strat"? Some stuff is made for beginners, dork.

You don't have to use them for that, but that is what they are specifically made for. You can't buy something that has a specific use and then complain that it's lacking something it wasn't meant for.

Here's another review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r32oMkYBbKQ

I ultimately with the M60 instead.
