Bump! Love the HD hack! Picked this up for my son as a gift for passing ASE certification. He's been looking at this as next purchase. Great timing.

I bought this when it first came out working as an auto technician, not my favorite tool. Just way too heavy and underpowered. Will not be able to take out caliper bracket bolts most of the time due to the size of the head

what do you recommend? Im going to tackle my suspension these coming weeks and some of these lower control arm bolts are in tough to reach areas where my 1/2 stubby impact cant fit.

I've been waiting on Gen 2 FOREVER. This tool desperately needs moar powah. Unfortunately, It's humongous head ends up being a problem in an area you'd think it will do the trick. For example, when trying to remove rear caliper bracket bolts, axle or hub bolts, etc.

Needs a smaller head package and more torque and I hope Gen 2 can provide that. I honestly wouldn't buy this again if it were $50. It's just not useful for my use case.

Get a long handle ratchet 18" to 24" or breaker bar. If you have a cordless ratchet, use that once the bolts are loose.

An impact, socket set with a swivel or simply a swivel socket set and impact rated extension(s). That will do the trick.

Agree with the comments about it being underpowered. Maybe reasonable who wrenches outside the rust belt.

Really depends as every car is different. If I can't get power tools in there, than hand tools are the only option. Majority of the time I can get my m12 stubby impact along with some snap on swivel sockes to do the job.

Try the 1/2 drive Ridgid right angle impact. It has more power. I use mine weekly working on cranes at my job.
