Do you know if this works with remote play for ps5?
Beats trying to follow when it goes on sale on Ali and Temu.

Which I am going to purchase b/c of a PS3 I was gifted (with no DS3 controllers).

However, many new controllers are versatile and have tri-mode connecitivity (wired, wireless dongle and bluetooth) so you can easily switch to wired if needed. I prefer the PlayStation layout so I wish GameSir would release a version of the Tegenaria T3 Lite controller with tri-mode and hardshell case like the Nova Lite. I know GameSir has the Tarantula T3 Pro and it would've been an insta-buy if it had membrane D-pad instead of micro switch.
Edit: My bad. It looks like the 8BitDo Pro 2 does have a removable battery pack. Alas, the placement of the Start/Select buttons make it hard for my thumbs to reach. The button placement on the T3 Lite just feels easier for my small hands and short stubby fingers.
My first thought is actually a bit of disappointment, because my OS (Linux) doesn't seem to recognize the Select button, nor does it recognize the two programmable back buttons. And even if it did, the manual for this controller suggests that you can only assign buttons that are already on the controller to the back ones, which kinda defeats the purpose for me. I wanted to register them as independent keys so that I could map the Emulator Fast Fwd / Rewind buttons for when I'm playing retro games. But no such luck.
I'll probably just keep it as a spare for company and go back to using my Switch Pro Controller, TBH. Guess I can't complain for $10...
