Is this going to be one of those deals where HP cancels thousand of orders, doesn't refund the money or takes months to do so, and then there's hundreds of people here complaining?

Rcv'd mine today.. It has a beautiful screen. Only problem; it is kind of heavy for a laptop as previous LG Gram user but for the price; I cant Complain

Lol hope this goes through, 2 days ago I bit on a $79 laptop at Newegg that should have been $799. Newegg cancelled and gave me $15 gift card. HP Order is in at 10:45pm est, got a confirmation email and "processing". Pending charge hit card.

Why do you think it is going to be cancelled ? Getting a $720 laptop for $420 is definitely a great deal but that's why Slickdeal is for.. isn't it ?

Some think it will be cancelled because it was a promo code stacked with a sale price vs MSRP price.

This ain't a $1400 laptop. I didn't order, but considering it's clearing out inventory for new processors, and the real price was around $999, confident orders won't cancel.
