Is this going to be one of those deals where HP cancels thousand of orders, doesn't refund the money or takes months to do so, and then there's hundreds of people here complaining?

They said the charge will drop off, which is a lie. It changed to posted from pending on my card.

Received cancellation email after tracking number. No movement from the order either.

HP is a bunch of thieves.

Hi, make sure to check if it was really a cancellation email. I got a "critical update" email saying they need to cancel the order for promo error, but later got an order shipped email. I checked order status from hp site and order was never cancelled. My card was charged and shipment is currently moving.

Yep, same for me, got critical update email. FedEx tracking was created on Monday but no updates since.

Yeah, try waiting a few more days. Worst case scenario, you can chargeback and get your money back.
Did you check out with paypal by any chance? I am guessing they are honoring the paypal orders as paypal charges right away not the auth/capture process mentioned in the critical update email. In any case, hope your package goes through.

In same boat. Got shipping email 3/16 around 11am. Around 5:30PM got critical update email, but no actual cancellation email. HP order status shows shipped, but FedEx still on label created with no movement reported. Charge did go from pending to posted on my Visa. Ordered 10:45PM EST 3/16
