For anyone considering this tv I want to provide a warning of my own personal experience.

The motherboard on the first unit I received from Walmart was DOA. Eventually I got another unit sent to me and it worked for 12 months before it wouldn't turn on. Going through the warranty process via my credit card was an extreme pain because of the timelines required and the fact that there aren't a lot of tv repair shops around to provide an estimate for repair

I've been without the tv for 3 months since the motherboard is in holland and supposedly it'll "be awhile more" that I have to wait during this whole warranty process.

I was super excited with the price of this OLED and was excited for the experiment. But for some reason the motherboard on these things are faulty and can lead to heartbreak.

At the very least please consider the extended warranty.

From reviews on Digital Trends review:
"I purchased this for black Friday. Have enjoyed the picture quality. Major complaint is the delay on EVERYTHING. The Google start up on a good day takes 30-45 seconds to get going. On a bad day, it resets 2 to 3 times before being able to access the apps. The other issue I have come across is screen flickering. Even occurring with a paused screen. Which gets aggravating."

This is tempting. I like that it's Google OS, but apparently the calibration settings are bare-bones. The only other thing that comes close to this price is the Panasonic Z85 55" which I've seen at $700 on Amazon within the last few days. I would trust Panasonic more, but it also has the Fire TV OS which I'm also skeptical about, so idk.

It is easy to find reviews on YouTube. I've been eyeballing this TV, and it looks good to me. I think it has a karaoke mode built in. Gaming should be excellent on this TV as oled has a fast response time, and it has 120hz refresh rate. All I need is a reason to buy another TV Frown

edit; after watching this video I see that the TV has HDMI 2.0 which doesn't support 4k at 120hz without concessions. 4k gaming is still a bit dumb expensive, but if I had this TV I would just play at 1440p 120hz.

No, it's not. It's only overrated for folks with slow thumbs.

Not sure an OLED is something I'd buy from a brand I've never heard of, especially considering a few of the personal testimony comments in this thread.

Maybe on consoles and single player games, but the difference from 60 to 120 in multiplayer games online is night and day.

I've had this TV since 12/2024 and for the money (I paid $600), it's great but not perfect. Most importantly, pic and sound are very good for the price point. Downsides are mainly it's slow to start and to switch inputs. It has four HDMI and I use all four. One thing I love is the weighted center based stand instead of legs at each side. This allows me to have it on a dresser that it otherwise wouldn't have fit on. I bought the extended warranty and again I'm happy (I don't use it for gaming). Finally, I had a fire cube so one of my inputs is for it. I choose not to use the built in smart tv functions as I imagine it will be far slower based on memory.

Yeah I seriously doubt this is the actual Sansui brand of the past. Probably just another cheap Chinese TV manufacturer licensing the name so they can sell it to suckers who fall for the name..

IGN is reporting it truly has HDMI 2.1 and uses LG panels.
