I already own 2 of these and they are great mice. In fact, just totally dissembled one just the other day to clean and it looks new again. Great deal always good to have a spare!

No. Those buttons next to the wheel either enable Logitech's "hyperfast scroll wheel." Really it makes the wheel lose the mechanical clicking feel and sound.
