This Samsung 256GB MicroSD Express card stands out as a low price for a name brand Express model and is aimed at faster transfers on compatible devices. It is backwards compatible, so it should still work in devices that do not use Express speeds, and it has been compared favorably with other 256GB cards in the same price range. The main caveat is compatibility, since some devices cannot use Express cards at all, and dash cams are better matched to High Endurance cards for constant write cycles. A solid option when the device supports it.
Common Questions (4)
It will work, but dash cams usually need High Endurance cards because they constantly write and rewrite footage. The Express speed is not the main benefit for that use case, and a normal card may wear out sooner than an endurance model.
If the price is close to other 256GB cards, it can still be worth it because it is backwards compatible and may be one of the cheapest name-brand 256GB microSD Express cards seen. If you only want regular storage and prefer to wait, a standard 512GB microSD deal may be better value.
Yes for the speed advantage, because microSD Express is a new standard that only delivers faster transfers on compatible devices. Some newer devices may require an Express card, while older devices can still use it in standard microSD mode.
It is backwards compatible, so it should work in devices that accept standard microSD cards. You just won't get the Express speed benefit unless the device supports microSD Express.

The Sansung Endurance cards are, as mentioned, slower because they are meant for sequential read/write. Their nand chips are built to last constant write cycles. Per google, Up to 140,160 Hours (16+ years).
This card will work, as will any, but it might die sooner than a proper Samsung Endurance card. How soon? Who knows. Ive been using non Endurance cards on home security cams for years and no problems.
