I have this bike and it's a great little bike.

- twist throttle
- capable of 28mph
- short wheelbase so a bit squirrelly
- heavy

I have this and the e26 version. E26 is software limited to slower speed (I forget for sure but 19 or 21 mph I think). I wish it was faster because it's more of a commuter bike than the e20. E20 is great for farm use and the beach when we visit family on Lake Michigan. Smaller for hauling and big tires ride nice on dirt and sand.

BOTH bikes are too aggressive on the pedal assist and mildly dangerous when first starting to pedal. Major con for anyone elderly who could be accidentally thrown off and tossed on the ground due to the jolt. I'm not talking actually "thrown", but I wouldn't want my mother on these because she's old enough that falling from a bike onto pavement is always going to be a risk. Google this, but the twist throttle helps and just managing the pedal assist levels helps.

Exactly my experience, loved this bike initially even posted a glowing review but the overly aggressive pedal assist and some other issues (motor would suddenly stop or skip, ghost pedaling was extreme) caused me to have some dangerous crashes.

Someone posted you can turn off the auto pedal assist completely by disconnecting a wire and then just use the throttle to accelerate if I would have kept it I probably would have done this.

The pedals are horribly slick, replace them immediately before you ever ride.

The good thing was it was so cheap I was able to sell it for about what I paid.

Aliexpress includes tariffs in the cost you pay them. You won't get ambushed by UPS like when you order overseas from random European retailers.
"Why can't they state the motor at 500 watts" Because 1000 watts sounds better and people don't understand what "peak" means, just like cheap audio equipment that always states peak power rather than RMS.
I think the E26 (26 wheel version) is a much better bike for most. It has a lower top speed, but the big bicycle wheels are much lighter and roll easier, so you will go much farther for the same amount of effort. The huge tires on the E20 also don't fit in a lot of car racks. But the E26 costs a little more right now, about $320.

That's true but can you bike up to 60 miles? I did a bike ride with a friend the other day. We did a 30 min trail ride super fun on e-bikes. I also have a mountain bike, and a road bike to exercise if I want to LOL . E-bikes comes in handy after a heavy leg day.
I have back issues occasionally and hardly rode my old bike. I got my Lectric and I love it! Over 120 miles! I have had back issues, and when they start giving me problems, I can switch from pedaling to just electric.

Plus, I use the pedals while trying to pedal hard and get more speed. Riding bikes around and riding someone's bumper is fun. I love being able to fold it up and take it camping or sometimes moving vehicles around is difficult without help, but this works well, too. I've run errands on my bike on lunch after getting it out of my truck.

Lots of reasons electric bikes can be fun. I do have a friend with a $3,200 scooter he probably rarely uses. It's too heavy to carry upstairs and we get -40°F in the winters, occasionally. Not sure if he's moving it inside during a cold snap or what.

Do not put this bike outside when it's raining. My controller got water damage so I ordered a new controller from their website and it works perfect. ($60)The new controller has way better pedal assist. It's very subtle and not dangerous as the old one.
I would not recommend getting ANY ebike wet! Most components on any ebike aren't even rated for splashes!

The site isn't charging the correct sales tax amount. It's way over. Anyone else notice this?
Yep, half again what my state and county on e-bikes should be.

When I am trying to use PayPal, it kept taking off $15 only instead of $30. Not sure why even though it does say for $30 off for order $269+.

China may beat us to Mars, they can make a nice ebike at a low price point and they have glut of them to get rid of. I have three generic china bikes going on four years now with occasional use and all have been fine. I paid about $700 which was the going rate at the time and am not dissatisfied with any of them. I am guessing this is similar or a bit better in quality. If automakers, Apple Dewalt, Milwaukee, Costco, Lowes, Target and most all retailer are not afraid of china good why would you be.
My fear with these lithium batteries especially and over seas manufacturing is quality control. Do I wish everything's made in USA YES and would love to support that , but it's not. I think and hope if an American company is having items manufactured overseas there at-least supervising safety aspects of the items. Items not manufactured under American company's can pretty much do what they want and use what ever material they want harmful or not. All that being said as I type on my iPhone , next to my Milwaukee drill , as I'm planning my next shopping trip to Costco I'm considering getting one of these. It sounds ridiculous that I'd want one I own a motorcycle , classic car and drive a pickup daily . For 300$ it could be fun to own this spring/summer. I'd probably take some adventures I normally would not have.

You might want to laugh but electric bikes get the elderly and disabled out and around to places they may not be able to enjoy or get to. They even have three wheelers mountain bike racing leagues for people with severe paralysis.

Even for healthy young people they may just be using the ebike to some other activity they want to save their energy for. We recently did a 30 mile sightseeing trip along the C&O Canal and could visit a small town restaurant and museum without being worn out, tired and sweaty. Hard bike riding does wear out joints and causes injury to ligaments, tendons and muscles.

I am not laughing but a bit disgusted that some people can be so narrow minded they can't imagine a world bigger than theirs and assume all others have the same needs or wants they do.

Agreed. 71 year old here. Town is 10 miles away, through a 300 foot deep canyon, with an ultimate altitude change of 1200 feet. Not sure I could make it back home without the assist.

One of many E26 sellers here, https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...79066.html
Code USAS45 for $45 off
There are a lot of sellers for this ebike and the E20. You might find it cheaper if you look.
Thanks! But how do I find out whether or not they are U-certified? I read their descriptions and I find nothing. Or are they all UL certified?

I was laughing at elderly, I was talking about lazy people using motorized vehicles and not exercising. You completely misread my intentions

I'm glad you understood my wording somebody thought I was making fun of disabled people, that was completely wrong, from now on I will be extremely careful if I post something
