I also see a $30 instant discount for $217.26, plus $35.94 in NYC tax and tariff I guess.

On the product page, there is a $15 off $159+ and $30 off $259+ PayPal promotion that may or may not stack (and it doesn't show on PayPal payment screen so not sure if it will apply).

Very tempting. Current price for a similar spec brand name laptop approaches $400 (Best Buy had one recently). At the $250-300 price range, one can only get a mediocre non-upgradable Ryzen 5 7520U or i3-N305 garbage.

This has (2) SO-DIMM slots, backlit keyboard, Ethernet port, (1) 10Gbps USB-C, (2) USB 3.0, (1) USB 2.0, features you don't always find on budget brand-names.

Be careful looks like Chuwi was caught selling laptops with the "same CPU" that were fake. I know Chuwi but not Firebat

Most laptops are made by the same manufacturers and branded for the vendor
I know the brand Chuwi
I do not know the brand Firebat
Many laptops look the same
Some CPUs the one in this laptop have been found to be "misrepresented"
I hope you haven't confused me with HappyClub9773

I purchased this and it arrived yesterday. It works great. Small build quality issue where the ports are extra tight (USB and HDMI) but I can live with that. I immediately formatted the drive and installed the OS from scratch - would recommend doing that with any Chinese OEM like this.

Value wise, I consider this to be slightly better than buying refurb name brands with similar specs and slightly higher prices (which is the state of the market now).
