Just one of my headphones costs $3K and I own multiple brands and also high end amps and speakers costing a lot more.
However I'm also not a "snooty" audiophile, in the sense that I buy both cheap and expensive gear and am aware that cheaper gear can sometimes sound amazing.
I say all that because while I don't own this amp, I was at Axpona in Chicago last year and this amp and the Fosi speakers were on display. I listened to hundreds of set ups that day, including Hundred Thousand + set ups from Focal, Wilson Audio, etc, and the Fosi room was in my top 5 best sounding rooms and the entire set up (including two of these amps in stereo) probably cost less than $1000 and it was putting to shame very expensive systems.
Fosi had a good room, and they picked music that complemented the set up, but still. They had one of the best set ups. I'm also a fan of FiiO and checked their booth out but it was no comparison. Fosi was the only cheap manufacturer there with a set up that rivaled $10k+ speaker systems at less then $1000 overall cost.
This is a manufacturer to watch.
edit: in case folks ask, I didn't buy the set up because the speakers were not yet available at the time and by the time they were, I already upgraded to KEF LS 50 wireless speakers for my living room. My downstairs set up are Thiel and Bryston, which the Fosi can't compete with.
