Pros:
- pretty great deal if you can get it for $30-40 (higher than $50... maybe not as much)
- hinge was solid and felt nice and clicky when opening and closing into the pre-set positions (so I did not have any issues with it for my unit)
- IPS screen seemed bright and clear
- has a 3.5mm headphone jack
- comes fully loaded with 64GB microSD with roms for every console (even had N64, PS1, PSP, Dreamcast roms)
- it came with a micro-SD USB card reader adapter (it seems fine, but I chose to use my out card reader since the one it came with felt cheap, but can be clutch)
- even included full PC ported versions of Stardew Valley, Half-Life, and Minecraft (using the PortMaster app)
- carrying case it comes with is pretty nice, and well built
- performance for all the games I tried seem perfectly fine (slight lags for a few PSP and Dreamcast games)
- buttons, d-pad and analog sticks were all fine, no buttons sticking or misinputs (tested with fighting games to see accuracy and latency, no issues)
- battery life seemed good, played mostly 16-bit and 32-bit games for about 6 hours before I had to charge it (I am pretty sure if you play higher end systems that will require more processing/rendering, the battery life will be a bit lower)
Cons:
- if you have big hands, the buttons and analog sticks can feel cramped (my sister that I gave it to had no issues compared to me)
- not all the games I wanted were included like Final Fantasy 7/8/9 for the PSX/PS1 (didn't expect it to come with any game TBH, so this is minor), but you can easily just download it and put it onto the micro-SD yourself
- Even though it work right out of the box, I realized there were a few corruptions on the SD card they gave me after doing a CHKDSK (disk check), because I saw ghost files that could not be deleted or moved. So make sure you scan your disk and fix any errors before using it long-term. Or get your own higher quality SD card and start anew.
- the 1GB of RAM is a bit limiting if you want to do more with it, like play new emulated games that the chipset should be able to do (like Dolphin - Gamecube/Wii).
Final Thoughts:
It is a surprisingly well-built and pocket-able mini console that has a history of video games that go back nearly 3 to 4 decades. Runs well, looks good, battery is good as well from my tests. Definitely thinking about buying another (with a $30-35 deal) to tinker with the ARM64v8 apps/games that I can port from the PC/Linux onto it, seems versatile for that.
Hope this is informative to someone

Can anyone recommend a webpage that has a good guide to getting started with this device...I hadn't used a rom to play a game in 15-20 years

They can be had for less than half of this one if concerned about the hinge life
