$50 cheaper than when it was posted last month. overall mixed reviews depending on the site; but that's the same with any appliance now a days

I wouldn't go for this unless you need a washer right now.

I got the 8200-series pair for this price around Black Friday time.

LG seems to have a better track record than Samsung in recent years, and these "standard" models (not the HE front loaders) should be slightly more reliable. For $500 ea, that's a good deal though it might be worth it to spring for an extra warranty for long-term peace of mind.
